More than 13 years ago, Windows Vista, the successor to Windows XP, was released. The system's life is already known, it hasn't been very popular for a number of reasons, but it has brought a lot of new features to personal computers. One of these was the built-in sound mixer, which is still found on Windows PCs today.
The feature is that different applications or system sounds can be treated as separate sound tracks. This allows you to individually set or mute different volumes.
Tech In Deep has noticed that the latest MIUI 12 alpha update includes a very similar feature.

This feature is not really necessary on a phone. It can be useful in one or two cases, but basically it mainly makes sense in a desktop environment. The most interesting thing is that this feature only works if you have an un. "desktop mode". This could lead one to wonder whether Xiaomi is working in a desktop environment like the Samsung DeX.
