New reaction buttons are coming to WhatsApp, and you'll soon be able to react to messages with multiple emoticons.
It seems that the message react buttons in Messenger and Instagram are so popular that Meta will soon make them available in WhatsApp chat. The idea is to give you more ways to react to messages, such as liking, disliking or expressing anger.
The WABetaInfo spotted that a new kind of emoji has been added to the beta version of the app, so you'll soon be able to add emoticons to messages in chat windows. Reactions will also be available in individual conversations and group chats.
It is not yet known when it will be rolled out more widely, but the fact that it is already in beta testing means that there is a good chance that it won't be long before it is released.
