Újabb 16 Xiaomi telefon MIUI frissítése szűnik meg

China, unlike every other country in the world, still has a steady stream of MIUI weekly beta releases. Longtime fans know this well, as these have been used to make weekly roms, such as MIUIHU and even running xiaomi.eu.

It was announced today on the Chinese forum that the Chinese developer MIUI update for a number of devices, phones and tablets will be discontinued. From 4 August 2023, the below phones will be discontinued:

  • Xiaomi Mi 11
  • Xiaomi Mi 11 Pro
  • Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra
  • Redmi K40S
  • Redmi Note 11T Pro
  • Redmi Note 11T Pro+

And a month later, updates to even more phones and tablets will be stopped. These are exactly:

  • Mi MIX FOLD
  • Mi MIX4
  • Mi Pad 5 Pro 5G
  • Mi Pad 5 Pro
  • Mi Pad 5
  • Mi Civi
  • Redmi Note 11 Pro
  • Redmi Note 11 Pro+
  • Mi Civi 1S
  • Mi 12X

Many of the phones mentioned above are available in our country, so current owners can expect to see no more MIUI updates this year. But the most pressing question is when this will happen. After the Chinese beta line ends, there will be one or two stable versions that will be final. These will give birth to the global and EEA, which we will get. So when can this happen? After the end of beta, stable could come out later that month, from there it's about a week to EEA and then it's over. So in the same way, here at home and across Europe, the MIUI update will be discontinued that month.

It looks like the Android 13 base will be discontinued from now on and Android 14 will be the focus. The phones above will, more than likely, no longer get the new base. From Android 14 based MIUI 14 is already in testing, but only for Xiaomi 13 phones, but the AOSP available already on a number of devices.
