I'm not saying anything new by saying that sooner or later discontinue software support for a phone. Xiaomi is also constantly leaving behind its old models to invest time and capacity in its new and cool phones.

MIUI 12 támogatása

Although support from the manufacturer will be discontinued, skilled and hard-working programmers will continue to develop custom roms. These XDA Developers Forum guess! But to return to the bad news in the title, software support for the following phones will end in November:

  • Wed 9
  • Mi 9 SE
  • Mi 9T
  • Redmi K20
  • Mi 9T Pro
  • Redmi K20 Pro
  • Mi 9 Lite
  • Mi CC9
  • Mi 9 Pro 5G
  • Redmi Note 8

These phones include a good number of Chinese domestic and global equivalents. These phones will receive the last Chinese beta MIUI update on 26 November. So for the time being, there is no need to fear that the domestic, i.e. stable global, will also be discontinued. But since it will be the last weekly update in China, the Chinese stable will also be discontinued, which means the end of the global as it is made from it.

So NO PARA yet, 1-2 more stable updates to come before the company finally takes down the above phones. As soon as they announce the end of the stable global update, we'll be right back with the details!
