Systems and their apps are updated from time to time to keep up with the latest trends - this is the case with the Xiaomi Health app for MIUI 13.

Currently in beta testing is a new look and feel for the Xiaomi Health app. Therefore, for now, only those who are involved in the testing process can use it.

It seems that Xiaomi is trying to replace the currently available Wear app with a single software that supports different smart devices. This software is easy to use and part of the operating system by default.

Until now you had to download apps for these gadgets, for example there was the Mi Fit, a Zepp, a Xiaomi Wear and others.

The new interface is clean and easy to understand. It's made up of large colour cards, and there's space between the different menu items, so it's less cluttered.

That's all well and good so far, but there's a small catch: for the time being, this feature seems to be available only to Chinese people, but it could be extended to the rest of the world later.

It is questionable when this will happen, as it is currently in beta testing and is expected to be introduced with MIUI 13. If it is already 13, is expected soon.

There have been examples of a China-only feature arriving in Europe, such as the Mi Band NFC payment, but it took years for this to happen. However, it should be added that this was more difficult to implement than a software feature.

Would you like a built-in, unified interface for managing portable devices?
