I may be news to many, but the Chinese version of the Redmi Note 9 hasn't even been released yet, with the numbering stuck at 8 in the mainland. That's why the phone that's being released and of course its global version, the POCO M3, is such a big deal.

For 7 years now, the Redmi Note series has been serving a segment of the general public who are content with the mid-range options such as affordable price and acceptable quality and knowledge. As many of you know, I had and still have a Redmi Note 3 phone (thanks it's fine, still works), it's well worth the price! Redmi announced today that they have reached 140,000,000 (140 million) global sales of Redmi Note phones! That is a brutal number!!! A few examples to give you an idea:

Putting all the Redmi Note phones sold side by side, it would circle the globe from the South Pole to the North Pole!

And if stacked on top of each other, it would be 132 times higher than Mount Everest!

140 million Redmi Note phones would be enough to cover the Beijing National Stadium 6.4 times over!

The Redmi Note series has been a huge success and will continue to be! Although the next generation may not be available in our country, its successors will surely be very popular in our country as well, as technology advances and 5G expands, cheaper 5G capable phones will become a necessity! Rumour has it that not only will the POCO M3 be unveiled in India on 24 November, but also two 5G versions of the Redmi Note 9 in China!
