This year, Xiaomi may add another twist to the launch of some of its phones. And for this occasion, they had a brainwave (presumably over a more intoxicating dinner) and decided to make this year's Mi flagship more memorable than last year's Mi 6. How could they, since OLED displays are used by several manufacturers in addition to the notch, SD845 is also rumbled in a dozen or so models, and Chinese competitors have also gotten the face unlock sooner. As Apple did it last year (albeit on the occasion of its 10th anniversary), or Samsung after the Note 7's memorable battery problem, Xiaomi is now jumping model numbers.
