Redmi is preparing for the upcoming release of the Redmi Pad 2, which has already been published on the FCC website. The specifications of the tablet have been leaked online and now performance details have also been published on Geekbench.
Before its official launch, the Redmi Pad 2 was published on Geekbench. The listing reveals that the tablet will be equipped with an eight-core processor, with four cores running at 2.4GHz and the remaining four cores at 1.9GHz. Notably, the chipset codenamed Bengal suggests that the Redmi Pad 2 will be powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 680 processor. This "development" could spark controversy, as the previous Redmi Pad was equipped with the more rugged MediaTek Helio G99 processor, which replaces the Snapdragon 680 eats it for breakfast.
The device has 4 GB of memory and runs Android 13-based MIUI 14 for Pad. In terms of performance, the device scored 415 points on the Geekbench 6, single-core test and 1411 points in the multi-core test. Since the Geekbench list doesn't tell us much more, but there are still a lot of leaked data and rumours all over the net.
According to previous reports, the Redmi Pad 2 is expected to come with a 2K resolution display using an affordable IPS LCD panel. The display size is expected to be between 10 and 11 inches, with some sources suggesting a 10.95-inch size. Furthermore, rumours are that the tablet will support a refresh rate of 90 Hz.
For longer use, the tablet is said to be equipped with a substantial 8,000 mAh battery. As for the cameras, it is speculated that the Pad 2 will have a single rear camera with an 8 MP sensor to capture everyday moments. For selfies and video calls, a 5 MP front-facing camera is likely to be included.
