As expected, the Redmi K40 has been officially announced and published on the Chinese telecoms authority's database, TENAA. Not only were the specs revealed, but also the phone's looks!
Redmi K40
In terms of looks, it follows today's trends, with a large and distinct camera island with a giant main lens, a smaller one next to it and a tiny one next to the LED flash. Its screen has a 6.67″ diagonal, type currently unknown. Its size is 163.7 x 76.4 x 7.8 mm, which promises a pretty slim phone and it can fit a 4,420 mAh battery that can be quickly charged with a 33 W charger. Its processor is currently unknown, you could either get MTK's latest Dimensity 1200 or Snapdragon's latest 7-series, which is 5G capable.
Redmi K40 Pro
The Pro version will be released in the same house, with almost the same look. It has the same 4,420 mAh battery, dual SIM, Android 11 based with MIUI 12.5. However, it will have the best SoC, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888, with all its goodness. The Redmi K40 series can probably wait until 25 February, but it will be sure when it is officially announced.
Xiaomi Mi 10S
There has been more than one news about a new edition of Xiaomi Mi 10, which will be boosted with the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 processor and get a facelift. Its size will be 162.6 x 74.8 x 8.96 mm and it will have a 6.67-inch screen, so this size may also include a slightly larger 4,680 mAh battery with 33 W fast charging. MIUI 12.5 on Android 11 is already standard on phones coming out later this year. Release date unknown!
