We just got the latest news, according to the latest market analysis from market researcher Canalys, Xiaomi came in first place in the Central and Eastern Europe region in Q4 2020!

According to the report, Xiaomi achieved a leading position in the Central and Eastern European region, including Hungary, in the last quarter. According to Canalys, Xiaomi achieved an annual growth of 18%, giving it a market share of 25% in the phone market. So Xiaomi makes up a quarter of the region, followed by Samsung with 21%, Huawei with 18% and Apple also with 18%.

At the same time, it retained its third place in the market for Europe as a whole. Its overall growth in Europe was quite significant, 34%, but it was not enough to move up and it only took 15% of the market pie.

"Xiaomi is showing steady growth in Central and Eastern Europe in both the mid-range and premium smartphone segments thanks to our fans, customers and partners, and our strategy of building on both brands has proven successful. We will continue to build on our successes in the online business and will continue to adapt to local cultures and buying habits. In the meantime, we will continue to broaden our portfolio to meet the growing demand for Xiaomi's innovative products at affordable prices."
- said Andrew Wong, Xiaomi's CEO for Central and Eastern Europe, Northern Europe and the Baltic region.
