We have unboxed it, set it up and made it sweat but we didn't manage to. Thanks to its excellent heat sink and liquid cooling system. And we have run the most popular test applications like AnTuTu, 3D Mark and Geekbench and none of them made it sweat in spite of being covered with a case. Then it was followed by a half-night game marathon which took 3 hours and in every game with MAX graphics.

Games:

  • Asphalt 9
  • Darkness Rises
  • Middle-earth: Shadow of War
  • NBA Live
  • PUBG Mobile
  • Real Racing
  • Tekken
  • The Trail
  • Warhammer 40,000: Freeblade

Games ran smoothly, of course it isn't easy to make SD845 stop or if there is a bug in the program but every animation appeared on the screen of the phone with the expected speed. According to tests we can say that it is the third fastest phone within the brand of Xiaominak, and Black Shark is definitely designed for gaming, Mi 8 is more reliable in terms of software as Poco F1 still runs on MIUI9 stable and it has not got an update so far. I hope that with the introduction of MIUI10 the full screen will be optimised and notch as well because it is a bit embarrassing that the lower end of the screen is too curved while the upper end covers the notification bar in a square form.

Not to mention that because of curved edges some graphic elements hang out but fortunately only partly in this way you have the chance to push them.

Overcoming these tiny and embarrassing things we should concede that considering its features for such money we get a really cool fast phone. Looking through test results it is no doubt that POCO F1 in value for money outruns every flagship phone in terms of system's speed.

In AnTuTu list the 8th place is quite high seeing what devices overtake it (considering the best prices):

  • Mi Black Shark - $188,990
  • vivo NEX S - $247,890
  • OPPO Find X - $204,910
  • OnePlus 6 - £163,190
  • Samsung Note 9 (SD845) - $268,990
  • Mi 8 - 139.990 Ft
  • Asus ZenFone 5Z - $169,090
  • POCOPHONE F1 - $95,000

Of course for fun tests ran also on split screen! :D

To summarise, Poco F1 is really the master of speed. In its features ignoring some lacks it is unbeatable. Its design is absolutely acceptable!

Have fun!
