After so many rumours, Redmi's new high-end range, the Redmi K40, was finally released yesterday. you can read here. The point is, it's a great flagship at a great price... in China.

This is excellent, but most readers will probably be interested in the global presence, which IMDA can provide us with an important piece of information about. A device codenamed M2012K11AG has appeared in their database as the "regular" Redmi K40, but an interesting fact has emerged.

The brand name reads "POCO". So it's very likely that the Redmi K40 will be launched globally under the Poco brand name, perhaps it will be the Poco F3, after the Redmi K30 Pro, which was launched under the Poco F2 Pro brand name, including in our country. In that case, it would make sense that the Redmi K40 Pro would be the Poco F3 Pro.

The Poco F2 Pro debuted at around 200 thousand forints, so the "regular" Poco F3 could easily slip into the 150 thousand forint range, which would be a very good price for a near high-end device. So let's hope that the cheaper version will be released here, because although the "plain" K30 was released as Poco X2, it didn't make it to Europe.
