Remember the rumour on Monday that a Redmi phone without a notch was spotted in a picture? Didn't you read it? Well then, make up for it quickly! Xiaomi CEO-we showed you a picture of what we thought would be the Redmi X phone.
Almost, and it sounds pretty good, but a small rumour campaign has started on Weibo that it's the Redmi Pro 2. The Redmi pro 2 will be an upgraded version of the Redmi Note 7 pro, well beefed up.
The leaked, or perhaps fake, image shows the specs of an expected top-end Redmi phone. Qulacomm Snapdragon 855 SoC, notchless display, under-display fingerprint reader, 48 MP Sony camera. But the image of the phone is a bit limp. A Xiaomi CEO The selfie camera on the phone in the picture is on the left side of the phone, and here it's on the right. But the idea of such a phone is not a mere fiction, but a real device. Lu Weibing's Weibo page also posed the question as to why a Redmi top phone hasn't been brought out so far, the answer is very simple and straightforward: it would be too expensive for Redmi's pricing so far. Unfortunately, it could reach the price of the Mi 9 because of its features, although it could be cheaper by saving on other components and the casing, but then the Redmi would not be a mid-range king, but a competitor to the Mi. Maybe Xiaomi won't score a own goal with this move and the above summary will remain on the rumour plane...
