One Billion Views - Xiaomi's first own film festival

Xiaomi has announced the release of its latest short film "One Billion Views" starring renowned tech influencer Arun Maini, also known as "MrWhoseTheBoss". The influencer's short film was released in conjunction with Xiaomi's film festival. The current theme of the event, which will be held every year from now on, is the "new normal" that seems to be emerging after the pandemic. The film festival starts on Tuesday 31 August.

In the short film "One Billion Views", Arun talks about how he has become a recognised tech influencer over the past ten years. He also talks about the landmark moment when his YouTube channel reached one billion views.

In line with the theme of the festival, "The new normal", Arun will also share his views on the changing creative landscape, from the early days and challenges of video content creation to where smartphone technology is now, enabling all users to create and share content from their devices more easily than ever before.

The fact that the short film itself was shot entirely on Xiaomi's Mi 11 Ultra* premium flagship smartphone shows how easy and accessible content creation has become for everyone these days. It is the device that debuted the GN2 camera sensor, which has revolutionised smartphone photography and video.

Launched two years ago in 2019, Xiaomi Studios has always been a project for creators to create content and share stories with the world. Steven Senshan, Head of Xiaomi Studios, said.
