A few hours ago, it was announced on the official Chinese forum that the last developer week roms for the Xiaomi Mi3 / Mi4 / Mi4c / Mi4s phones were released this week. However, support for the devices will not end yet, only MIUI10 stable edition will be available for download.

The Mi3 phone is the oldest Xiaomi device still supported today. It's been updated exactly 388 times, which let's face it is unique in the world, no other manufacturer has provided software support for its devices for so long. Its sibling Mi4 has also achieved good results, not to mention the Mi4c variant, which with its simplified exterior but strong interior has been a hit with many (including mine) and has seen incredible worldwide adoption.

Before upgrading from the development version to the stable version, the following points should be noted:

1. After upgrading from the development version to the stable version, ROOT is automatically disabled. If you haven't opened ROOT yet, please ignore this point; if your favorite application requires a ROOT environment, please consider upgrading.

2. The stable version is more stable than the developer version, and MIUI 10 natural sound, Portal 2.0 and other features are available.
Note: Some features may not be included due to performance and other factors, but there is almost no difference in the overall use of the system.

3. Data is not deleted from the development version when upgrading to the stable version. However, to avoid unexpected situations, be sure to backup important data to the Xiaomi cloud service or your computer before upgrading.

4. If you want to update the system, click on System Update (Exactly here: Settings - About - MIUI version) - click on the 3 dots menu on the top right - click to download the full package - click to download the stable version. If there is a newer version, you will get a notification in the notification bar or you can reenter system update to see if there is a stable new version.

(rough translation from the Chinese forum)

In light of this, MIUIHU, Xiaomi.eu, MULTIROM and all the cooked roms based on Chinese developers will be discontinued. The next time we can expect a stable update for our devices will be in November, until then we'll have to make do with the latest 8.9.13.
