Xiaomi discontinued its cloud service for pushing images and video files towards the end of last year. This restriction was USA and Europe also fell victim to it, then came India and only a few eastern countries remained. For a long time, security camera users were given 90 days of free storage for all cameras in the world, and then this was reduced to 7 days of scrolling storage. From March 31, 2023, the entire service was discontinued in India and it has now been rolled out to European users and even in this country!

Thank you for your continued support of Xiaomi cameras. Due to a change in our business development and corresponding business adjustment, the home surveillance recording service will be discontinued on 31 March 2023. Home surveillance videos will no longer be recorded after this time. However, videos recorded in the last 7 days can still be downloaded and saved to your phone. If you want to continue to store and access your camera recordings, you can save the videos locally to an SD card.
You will still have access to all the other features of Xiaomi Camera, including real-time viewing of surveillance and event notifications. Covered cameras.
Download home surveillance videos from Mi Home/Xiaomi

To download home monitoring videos, follow the steps below:
- Go to the "Live view" page.
- Tap "Home Surveillance" and select the video you want to download.
- Go to the video details page and tap the "Download" icon in the top right corner of the window.
Once you've downloaded the video, you can view it by going to Live View > Storage Management > Local or browsing your phone's album.
Home surveillance videos are stored for only 7 days. For example, on April 13, videos older than 7 days (i.e. videos before April 6) will be automatically deleted and videos between April 6-13 will be stored, and so on. Important videos can be downloaded in advance to the Mi Home/Xiaomi Home app.
Xiaomi will send an end of service notification to Mi Home Security camera users. If you receive such a message in the Mi Home app, you should backup immediately to preserve at least the last 7 days of footage.
