The Xiaomi 12T series should already be familiar enough to everyone, as it has been announced for a long time and enough information has been leaked or rumoured to know almost everything about it. But it was only at the launch that we got to see everything and some of the new stuff!
Camera hardware
The best and newest feature of the Xiaomi 12T series is the 200 MP sensor in the Pro version. This is considered by many to be just pixel war and makes no sense. Now to this I would add, as in the live broadcast, that if they can't increase the size of the lens because it would significantly increase the size, they have to increase the resolution of the sensor underneath. Xiaomi has done that in this situation, so it can process much more light and digitize better images.
The sensor uses 16-in-1 pixel compression, so the resulting image will be only 12.5 MP. But it's adjustable, so it can work in RAW mode and with the familiar 4-in-1 pixel compression. Of course, the best and sharpest images need a good lens, which now consists of 8 elements to make use of every pixel of the 1/1.22″ sensor. In addition, the Optical Image Stabilizer ensures sharp images and videos.
And I almost forgot, the Xiaomi 12T's camera isn't weak either, with the usual 108 MP resolution, an 8 MP super wide and the inevitable 2 MP macro. The latter two are the same in both.
Camera software
There are also innovations in software! Of course, such a sensor needs some algorithms and new features. The 200MP Xiaomi ProCut is capable of extracting details from an image that may be important to the subject. In addition, the digital zoom, or as Xiaomi calls it, In-sensor zoom, is able to take a perfect picture with a sensor of this resolution. ProFocus is not unfamiliar to anyone who's paid a little attention to Xiaomi's photography capabilities. Its essence, keeping you in focus, in every situation. The eyes up close, the face at a distance and the body from far away always stay sharp. Mega Nights, as its name suggests, takes near-perfect pictures in night or low light.
Display
The Xiaomi 12T series all have the same screen, which is now almost the best on the market in this price segment. Its 6.67″ size is now commonplace, with CrystalRes AMOLED technology for crystal clear images, 120 Hz refresh rate, 1220p resolution, 446 ppi and 68 billion colours. And all this in a flat display protected by Gorilla Glass 5. Yes, only 5...
Processor
The familiar Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 powers the Xiaomi 12T Pro. It performs about 30% better, heats up less and consumes less power than its predecessor at the same performance. In a word, better. However, the Xiaomi 12T MediaTek Dimensity 8100 Ultra is a new addition. In terms of performance, it's somewhere between the SD888 and 8 Gen 1. So you won't have any complaints, it will do fine. It can't capture video in 8K like Qualcomm, but it can drive the screen, it can handle 200 MP and all that. Moreover, it's better at battery management, consumes less power and heats up less.
Battery
Both phones have the same battery. They have a power of 5,000 mAh and are spiked with 120 W HyperCharge fast charging. This is also very familiar, not only to me. It's the same in the Xiaomi 11T Pro, but interestingly it charges in 17 minutes, less 2 minutes. That still used 2 cell MTW technology and the Xiaomi 12T series uses one cell, so that's an improvement. It takes care of the phone, battery, electronics and even the charger at 42 points. It monitors the temperature at 9 points to make sure nothing overheats, protecting your phone and you.
Prices, contact details
International prices were quoted at the presentation, in Euro. Thus, when converted into daily exchange rates, they will not really reflect prices in Hungary.

In addition, there will be 8/256 GB and 12/256 GB versions of both, but their European price has not yet been announced. Alin prices are up, but they are not relevant. Hungarian prices will be a bit higher, don't be surprised.
International sales of the Xiaomi 12T series will start from 10 October 2022, domestic sales may be delayed by a few days, but we'll get a few extra days! Premium display replacement warranty and even a gift!
