A couple of days ago we got some posters of Xiaomi's first OLED TV, a bit suggestive but to the point.

MediaTek processor, which is not a popular SoC in the mobile world, but it might be a good fit for TV and even gaming. With 120Hz screen refresh, 3D sound, low input lag, it could really be capable of running serious games without any hiccups.

So the setting for this morning's live demonstration was not pretty girls and a huge room to host the first OLED TV, but just a "small" room set up for the interlocutors, which could only be watched online in China.

This morning Xiaomi launched its first OLED TV and the features are very promising!

OLED panel, 10-bit colour depth, AI Master control, 120 Hz image refresh, 3D sound, Dolby Vision-Atmos sound, 1 ms response time and MIUI interface. That's a bit of a mouthful!

It can deliver a truly excellent gaming experience, not only with Android games, but also with a PC or console connected via HDMI with a response time of less than 1ms. This is around 10ms even for the most hardcore gamer monitors.

Thanks to its built-in microphone, you no longer need to speak into the remote control, the TV perfectly recognises your voice and, of course, only in China, XiaoAI lets you know and control anything at home that is "connected" to your smart home system.

The remote control is already made of metal, but we will not know now how durable and long-lasting this solution will be compared to plastic. But it does have NFC, which makes it easy to connect your NFC phone to the TV, no more bothering with Chromcast or WiFi mirroring.

Because the TV screen uses OLED technology, it also comes with AOD, which not only shows you the clock, weather and cool graphics, but also notifications that you can set up in MIUI.

There's no shortage of connectors either, with a digital antenna input (cable only, no terrestrial), an Ethernet socket for a secure internet connection, optical output if you don't have enough 3D sound from your TV, 3.5mm Jack input (AV), 3 HDMI, one of which is a 4K 120Hz input for PCs and consoles, one eARC capable and one plain 2.1, and then 2 USB 2.1 sockets at the end. Yeah!

Its almost 6.1 sound system provides a perfect experience without a separate audio system, with 1 tweeter +1 full-range speaker + 1 surround speaker per side, plus 1 active and 2 passive subwoofers for sound from the TV. Wow! I'd be very curious to hear the sound of this TV!

Its screen, as I wrote before, is OLED technology with 4K resolution, exactly 3840 × 2160 pixels, pixel-by-pixel backlighting, DCI-P3 98.5%, 120Hz, support for VRR 40-120Hz, 178° viewing angle, 0 - 1,000 nit brightness, HDR10+ and 1,000,000:1 contrast ratio. I'm not just curious about the sound anymore!!! :-o

The TV has a very attractive price for what it can do, in China of course, don't even think about it at home, no one will bring it in anyway. Anyway, the price is 12.999 Yuan ~ 573.460 Ft, for which you can get an LG or Philips 4K OLED TV at home, but considering the other features, they start from 750e. Maybe Xiaomi's TV would fit in here... if they had support.
