A couple of years ago the Snapdragon vs MediaTek debate was pointless to open, it was like Intel vs AMD. In both cases the superiority was clear, in the case of the latter the situation has obviously changed, in the case of the former not yet, the big android manufacturers are using Snapdragon in their top series, if not their own chip, but maybe not for a long time.

Taking the previous analogy further, for MediaTek, Dimensity is like Ryzen for AMD. The first Dimensity-equipped Redmi was the 10X, which didn't make it to Europe but was a big hit in China. Since then, Redmi has used the series in its top-end series, with the Redmi K30 Ultra featuring a Dimensity 1000+, which isn't as powerful as the Snapdragon 865 in the Pro, but still has decent performance.

Redmi's rival brand Realme recently released its Neo GT with a Dimensity 1200, and Redmi is also rumoured to be working on a gamer phone with the same chip, which is reportedly due for release this month, according to the well-known leaker Digital Chat Station.

In this post he does not give away any more information, but some rumours are already known beyond that. The M2104K10C, codenamed Ares, will feature 4 cameras, the main one being a 64 MP Sony IMX686.

A device with the model name M2104K10I has been added to the Indian IMEI database. This is probably a version of the device for India, and it may even be released there under the POCO brand, as is customary.

The aforementioned rival Realme GT Neo debuted in China for 1800 yuan, or roughly 83 thousand forints. This is a remarkable price, but it is certainly not a European price. What the Redmi phone will cost and whether it will be released in Europe are two very good questions.
