Although the MediaTek processor-equipped phones and devices are not very popular in our country, there are a few gems that have come out of the hands of Chinese manufacturers. Qualcomm has been and may continue to be the hallmark of the top end, although this year's MTK line-up is quite promising in both performance and power consumption. It may one day be a worthy competitor to Qualcomm.

According to a survey by DigiTimes, among Android devices sold in China, Mediatek surpassed 38.3% share in Q2 2020, pushing Qualcomm down to second place with 37.8%. HiSilicon's share is stagnant at 21.8%, with the other vendors combined accounting for 2.1%. MediaTek's Dimensity 800 and 1000 processor family have become quite in demand and popular, which the company will use in the Redmi 10X and then the Redmi Note 10 phone.
