We'll have another fresh launch in May, the Mi Band 2. Let's see what we've got so far!

Earlier this month, news broke that Xiaomi will unveil the next-generation Mi Band 2 with display on May 10. Now, the CEO, Xiaomi CEO published a photo on Weibo showing the new Mi Band. The first Mi Band was capable of counting steps and tracking sleep phases, while the Mi Band 1S also comes with a heart rate monitor. However, the display makes it better and easier to keep track of your current activity and to look at the watch, which is exactly what you'd expect from a new generation of wearable accessory.

In the photo, you can see that the new Mi Band has a simple display and also seems to be slightly wider than its predecessor. The increase could be due to the larger display and bigger battery, which should help maintain the 30-day standby time we've come to expect from the previous version.

Again, the unit is housed in a small sleeve that fits snugly into the strap, similar to the Mi Band and Mi Band 1S. Next to the display is a physical button that can be pressed to display the time or other activities you want to track.

Curious about the Mi Band 2?
