Xiaomi has reached another milestone with the launch of MIUI 12.5, which brings Android 11 to many phones, but the next Google system is just around the corner. The update of Xiaomi 11/11i and Ultra to Android 12 has started.
You can find the specifications of the phone on our site or on the official Xiaomi website. What's new in Android 12, at least not every single aspect of it, will be reflected in MIUI. Xiaomi is not just making an interface, but also making a number of systemic changes to the Android base. So it's well ahead of Google's innovations in general and only updates the background features.
The Android 12 based MIUI 12.5 update is already out, but only Mi Pilot members who are the most trusted testers can get it, so it's sure to be a good system to release publicly. The update doesn't contain much new, I mean the description of it. If you are interested in what's new in Android 12, you can find them here, that's all there is in the MIUI update:

This update is a limited release for Mi Pilot testers. Remember to back up all important items before updating. The update process may take longer than usual. You can expect overheating and other performance issues after the update - it may take some time for your device to adapt to the new version. Note that some third-party apps are not yet compatible with Android 12 and you may not be able to use them normally.
The update will first come only to Xiaomi Mi 11 / 11i / Ultra phones, but not only this year's top models will get it, there's a our growing list!
So normal mortals can't get it yet, it's a bit of a wait, but it's certainly worth it, as the Android base under the bonnet has brought a lot of safety and performance innovations.
