In China, the Redmi K range is the top of the range. It's unbeatable value for money, it's a shame it's not available here anymore, even though the Mi 9T series was very popular here. Lu Weibing, the head of Redmi, has been asking fans about the new Redmi K50 features.

His question has received over 3,000 comments, with fans expressing what they'd like to see in the latest Redmi top phone. We've sampled some of the many ideas:

  • Selfie camera under screen
  • Min. 5-6.000 mAh battery
  • Min. 67 W wired and wireless charging
  • 120 W wired charging
  • Fingerprint reader under screen
  • 144 Hz screen
  • Optical image stabiliser
  • Periscope telephoto lens
  • Excellent heat dissipation
  • 1 TB of back-up storage
  • Headphone jack at the bottom
  • LCD screen

But there have been posts about what not to include, such as:

  • Fingerprint reader under the screen
  • 2K display resolution
  • 108 MP camera
  • Wireless charging
  • Many cameras
  • Curved screen

Of course, the latter are listed for cost-effectiveness. In the Redmi series, we've become accustomed to the lightning-fast side fingerprint reader. The plain Redmi K50 phone doesn't need wireless charging and 2K display, that's left for the Pro or Gamer Edition.

What is your wish? What should or shouldn't be in the latest Redmi phone? Tell us in the comments!
