The Poco X4 5G smartphone has received NBTC certification, which may indicate its imminent release. However, it looks like the popular brand is starting the new year with a bang with the launch of its latest X-series smartphone, dubbed Poco X4 5G. What's more, Poco is reportedly preparing to launch the Poco X4 5G in Asian as well as global markets, so it could be coming to us.

The Poco X4 5G smartphone received SIRIM certification in Malaysia in January, when it was given the model number 2201116PG. To date, the Poco X4 and Poco X4 Pro have been listed on several certification websites. Now, the same device that obtained SIRIM certification last month has also appeared on the NBTC website. Naturally, this has also revealed more specifications.

NBTC certificate

The Poco X4 5G has been spotted on the certification website of the NBTC (National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission) in Thailand. Last month, the phone was also found on the BIS website with model number 2201116PI. The latest NBTC listing confirms the phone's name and also hints at its upcoming debut. A leaker Abhishek Yadav on Twitter shared a screenshot of the NBTC listing of the phone, which gives away some details about the upcoming handset.

First, the NBTC certification image confirms that the new Poco phone will be nicknamed Poco X4 5G. As the name suggests, the device will support 5G network. Unfortunately, the listing on the phone's NBTC website doesn't reveal any other details. However, 91mobile has discovered that the Indian version of the Poco X4 5G has also received BIS certification. The phone is given the model number 2201116PI, where the "i" stands for India. This indicates that the X4 5G will soon be launched in India. Previous leaks have revealed the key specifications of the Poco X4 5G smartphone.

Specifications

The upcoming X4 5G will feature a 6.67-inch S-AMOLED display with FHD+ resolution and 120 Hz refresh rate. In terms of camera, the device will get a 108 MP main camera, an 8 MP ultra-wide sensor and a 2 MP macro lens. At the front, the device will reportedly house a 16-megapixel selfie camera. The phone will likely get Android 11 (come on...) and MIUI 13.

Some rumours suggest that the phone will be powered by a Snapdragon 695. It could also come with 8 GB of LPDDR4x RAM and up to 256 GB of storage. Under the back will be a 5000mAh battery with 67W fast charging support.
