Camera

In camera, it's pretty good, if the software will have it. The 50 MP main camera is not behind the "grey zone", the 8 MP ultra-wide is there. It's a bit misleading, but screw it. 2 MP macro is there, but what's the point, and for depth of field it's better to have a separate sensor instead of AI. If we land one, we'll test it well anyway.

Battery

A combo battery, for sure, 5.000 mAh will be quite enough for such a small power. Even with an 18W fast charge, it's not 20 minutes like the Mix 4, but it's enough to charge it to full power in the evening. Interestingly, the Redmi 10 can also charge backwards with 9W, so it can be used as a power bank. However, a large 22.5W charger is included in the box to charge your higher capacity buddies in time.

Redmi 10 prices, availability

Unfortunately no news about Hungarian prices yet, maybe the Hungarian representative would like to present it on live video and we have to wait until then. But in Singapore the local representative has already announced the prices, and the following prices are available:

  • Redmi 10 4/64 GB - SGD229 ~ $50.390
  • Redmi 10 6/128 GB - SGD249 ~ $54.790

I think they're a bit underpriced there, plus 2 GM memory and double the back up for only 4-5.000 Ft difference is a definite choice. If we want to think in Hungarian prices, we can add the usual domestic charges and then the price can be like this:

  • Redmi 10 4/64 GB - 74.990 Ft
  • Redmi 10 6/128 GB - 79.990 Ft

In the East, the phone will be available from 20 August 2021, while information on other European launches was not available at the time of writing. But as soon as we know something, we'll be back with the details!
