It happens that you are offered a Xiaomi product, phone, tablet or any other gadget at a price that you can't refuse. This may be because the product is fake! Phone check
If you're wondering whether your phone, or the phone you want to buy, is real or destined for Europe, you can click here to check. The site will identify your phone by its IMEI number, which you can find out by following these steps:
- Read off the box
- Entered in the dialer app: *#06#
The box may not be what's in the phone, so use the second option instead. Once you have that, you can just type it in and find out the following things about the phone:
- Precise description
- Colour
- Memory size
- Backspace size
- Official international version or not
If you get a tick in the green circle with the above text, you're in luck, because it's an official international version. But if not...
You will then get an exclamation mark in a red circle with the following text:
Thank you for choosing Xiaomi!
However, the device purchased is not an official global version and this may affect the user experience. Next time, please purchase the official global version of the tool through officially authorized channels.
By this time you should be aware that it is not a Global version, it is the international version. If the seller still tells you not to buy it, or if you already have it, somehow undo the deal.
Xiaomi product verification
The Xiaomi product verification works in a similar way to the phone. Only here you have to scrape part of the authentication label off the product box. It's like having a scratch-off lottery ticket, just go for it with a liner.
If you have managed to enter it, it will tell you what it was and how many times it has been requested. My headset was the first to be claimed and that is correct. Unfortunately, I don't have a fake Xiaomi product to present...
