How will the Redmi 9 change the entry-level phones?

The features and price of entry-level phones are determined by their equipment. It is usually characterised by poor processor, camera, display and software support. But not so with Xiaomi, I mean Redmi, as Xiaomi no longer makes entry-level phones.

There has been a lot of hype and chaos around the Redmi 9 in recent weeks. The phone with all its specs has long been available on a global site but sales are only days away in some countries. But the piquancy of the matter is that in China it's only just starting to be discovered and posted about as if it's a new thing. Csabi has already gathered all the information you can read here. But what will make the Redmi 9 groundbreaking? The Chinese have spoiled it:

In 2020, entry-level phones will have cameras that are nowhere near the quality of the mid-range and will have only one, or at most two lenses. The Redmi 9 boasts four cameras, a 13 MP main camera (well, that's not even beating the mid-range), 8 MP ultra-wide, 2 MP depth sensor and 5 MP macro. It also has a fingerprint reader. This would be the minimum in 2020, but the 47% of today's phones don't have decent cameras.

Cheap mobile phones are equipped with cheap iron. They score just over 100,000 points in AnTuTu or less, resulting in lag, slow performance, lack of apps, games and services. The Redmi 9 Media Tek Helio G80 processor in the Redmi 9 Media Tek is powerful enough not to experience any of these, with the machine also scoring over 200,000 points in AntuTu. The 60% of the phones is weaker than expected in 2020.

Nowadays, every smartphone has the internet, without it, life would be unimaginable. 4G is everywhere in mobile networks, but WiFi is still the average 2.4 GHz band, like the 60% of today's old phones. The Redmi 9 is leading the way here too, as it has the faster and more reliable 5GHz WiFi.

Price

These features make the Redmi 9 stand up well to the competition, but what makes it even better is the price. Although it's not priced in our country and most of Europe, it's a good value for everyone with a price tag of 38.500 HUF in foreign but mostly eastern online stores. If it is released here, I suspect you will be able to get it for around 45-50.000, or maybe even cheaper.
