As we wrote in our many, many other rumour articles, today Xiaomi finally unveiled its new "paddle" smartphone, the Mi Max 2! In a show that lasted almost two hours, Chinese celebrities took turns to show off the features of the new smartphone, which we've written about before. Some of the rumours were confirmed, but others unfortunately didn't pan out. The larger processor or memory/storage didn't turn out as expected either, we were a little bit towards the specs.

Mi Max 2 has a fully symmetrical design, with a full metal frame and rounded corners.

Mi Max 2 packs a huge 5300 mAh battery, the same capacity as a PowerBank. You can easily get two days of battery life without worrying about charging your phone.

The 5300 mAh lasts up to two days of average use, but if you want to use it for more, it can last 18 hours of video, 10 days of listening to music, 9 hours of gaming, 21 hours of navigation, 19 hours of reading and 57 hours of talking.

Mi Max 2 features Quick Charge 3.0+ parallel charging, you can charge it up to 68% in 1 hour!

As we wrote in our previous article about the camera, which we tried to find out its features based on a leaked image. The Mi Max 2 is equipped with Sony's IMX386 camera with 1.25 μm pixels. This sensor is identical to the primary image sensor of the Mi 6, which was launched last month.
