Having problems with Chrome 96? Here is the solution!

Google recently released version 96 of its Chrome browser, which is a bit of a misfire: a new feature is causing problems for popular websites such as Twitter, Discord and Instagram.

The new security feature has been available for testing by developers since version 93. And for end users, it has been turned on in Google Chrome 96, which has just arrived.

Google is aware of the problem, and is working on a solution, but to avoid any more unpleasant moments in the meantime, you can avoid the error by disabling the following flag:

chrome://flags/#cross-origin-embedder-policy-credentialless

If you set this to Disabled and restart the browser, the problem is solved.

Google is also about to release an update to fix this inconvenience.
