Redmi G 2021 gamer laptop available for global order

The gamer laptop is a product type that was not invented for me, but it has a demand and a supply, so these notebooks are popular, even if in a small circle. And Redmi didn't want to be left out of this small circle either, when it launched the Redmi G-the Redmi gamer laptop. Its successor, the Redmi G 2021, was released a month ago.

The entry-level model is equipped with a 6-core Intel Core i5-11260H (tiger lake) processor capable of clocking up to 4.4GHz and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 GPU. The more expensive model, on the other hand, has dropped the Intel line and has an AMD Ryzen 7 5800H, also capable of up to 4.4GHz, with a GeForce RTX 3060.

Both configurations have a 16.1-inch 144 Hz display, 16 GB RAM and 512 GB storage. They also share Wi-Fi 6 connectivity, DTS:X Ultra 3D sound and a backlit keyboard. The laptops come with Windows 10, upgradeable to Windows 11.

Well, how much is that? The cheaper model is currently AliExpress and Banggoodon with the cheapest price being around 481 thousand HUF. The more expensive version is available for 679 thousand forints, but only AliExpress. Unfortunately, since we are not talking about EU warehouse products, these prices include VAT and VAT costs. In practice, this means that this price is subject to 130,000 HUF VAT and 12,000 HUF VAT, plus some VAT handling costs. So the reality is that it is in the region of 620-630 thousand forints. Now, a Ryzen 7 5800H+RTX 3060 Asus ROG laptop is about the same amount, the problem is that the price just calculated is the final sum of the low-end configuration. The more expensive version costs around 880 thousand forints by the time it would be on our desk, so the Redmi G 2021 series is not competitive in this form in Hungary.
