Back in January this year, at CES2018, then Global Director Hugo Barra unveiled the Facebook-owned Oculus Go and Xiaomi Mi VR Standalone virtual reality glasses. Since then, there has been no news of either until now.

Yesterday, Mark Zuckerberg, the well-known founder of FaceBooks, unveiled the final version, which has already gone on sale. Customers can buy the Oculus official website, the Amazon, the Best Buy and other channels to access the glasses from 199$ onwards.

Oculus Go supports more than 1,000 VR apps, and new AR and VR-based features were announced at the Facebook F8 developer conference. Zuckerberg said that Facebook not only has good AR and VR experience in software, but also the best experience in hardware.

The Oculus Go is made from a top-quality breathable material to keep the viewer from sweating underneath during extended use and has an adjustable sliding strap design for a perfect fit. The display is 2560 x 1440 pixels with new vertigo-free lenses, medical lens elements and fast switching technology, so users can minimise dizziness when using the Oculus Go. In addition, this device features a Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 processor with 32GB and 64GB of optional storage. The two versions are priced at $199 and $249 respectively. With a built-in speaker and 3.5mm headphone jack, it allows you to connect to external speakers.

The Oculus Go avoids the problem of complex cables connected to a computer that most traditional VR headsets have, and provides a better user experience. With the wireless controller, you can easily navigate between and within apps, navigate in-game, manage video or even draw a masterpiece.

No news on the Xiaomi version yet, but with the same hardware and the same pricing, it would be a hit in VR circles, but it would also conquer the Xiaomi community! We'll be back as soon as we have any news. Stay tuned!
