Until now, it was only a dream for Android users to be able to pay with a virtual card at the cash register of a shop, simply by using their wristband or watch. Although there are solutions, they are also out of reach for simple users. By contrast, in Eastern countries, almost all brands now use their portable gadgets as wallets and all you need to do is hold them up to the terminal and you're done.

The Xiaomi Mi Smart Vand 4 NFC was the first device to be used outside China, but only in privileged countries. So far, Russia has been able to benefit from this trigger, but today it was announced that two more countries will be introduced. These are Ukraine and Belarus. Using an external NFC device is not a simple task, not only does the card have to be mimicked when paying, but the bracelet must also be connected to the issuing bank for the transaction to take place. As the bracelet is only connected to the phone via Bluetooth, the phone must always be next to the bracelet.

But that's not enough! The card can only be Mastercard and the issuing bank's application must support this option. So the possibilities are quite limited, because you can only pay with an external NFC device at the bank that has integrated it into the Android APP!

Before anyone gets excited by this news, I have some bad news. There is no such bank in Hungary! This year there will be no more, but we can only hope that the local Xiaomi office will start negotiating with the biggest Hungarian banks to give us the simple touch payment method!
