One could argue that the Xiaomi 13 is a very super camera phone. Better than anything the company has ever made. Well, according to DXOMARK, it's very much not. While it only comes in 1 below the Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra in overall score, it has a lot more problems. So, ahead of the European launch, this does not bode well.
The whole phone has not yet been tested, only the main camera unit. Overall it is 1 point behind, four places down in the list at 17th. It's bad enough that even the Xiaomi phone from 2 years ago is rated better. But let's not lose sight of the fact that the iPhone 13/14 Pro and Pro Max are all better, which is almost a shame. A Xiaomi 12S Ultra I won't even mention it...

According to the company, the Xiaomi 13 Ultra has more problems than the Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra, significantly. The flaws of the 11 Ultra are almost negligible, compared to the 13 Ultra.
Comparing the rear camera features in a bit more detail, the only thing the Xiaomi 13 Ultra is better at is ZOOM. Everything else the 11 Ultra is better at. In use cases, however, the Xiaomi 13 Ultra is better, so I can assume it's not that bad. It's better for photographing friends and family and most importantly, it's better in low light. That's saying a lot, though, because that's what you need in most situations.
The overall score could be improved if DXOMARK tests additional components, but the rear camera features have already been scored. Although who buys a phone these days with a better sound or selfie camera. But overall, you have to look at the phone you choose and choose based on that, not just one feature.
