A few days ago Xiaomi CEO, Xiaomi's CEO posted a cryptic but revealing picture on his Weibo page, tagging it as the official Discovery page and writing: We're going on a new fantasy journey to mysterious places. Mysterious and exciting stories to come.
Then this morning, because there is a 6 hour delay, we got the big news, which let's face it, was quite a shocker. For a new Discovery series, they used a Xiaomi Mi 10 phone to shoot the footage, and in 8K resolution.
The "Secret Journey of 100 Million Pixels" series was filmed over 10 days, covering 1,390 km on foot and reaching altitudes of 3,900 m with the phone. Faced with extreme cold and difficult environmental challenges at high altitudes, the Xiaomi Mi 10 phone delivered.
We don't know yet if the full film series will be broadcast, it might not even be broadcast on European channels, only in China. But we will let you know as soon as we know more!
