The Deerma VC20 Plus is a cordless handheld vacuum cleaner and the Viomi S9 is a robot vacuum cleaner, and they are not just any vacuum cleaners! They're one of the best in their field, but the question is, do they hold their own together or separately?

Deerma VC20 Plus

The new, supercharged Deerma handheld vacuum cleaner performs surprisingly well, it's light and powerful, although the 800 Pa suction power doesn't sound like much, but the motor-driven double brush head makes the job of vacuuming a lot easier. It sweeps everything up to the suction port, not only from smooth surfaces but also from densely woven carpets! It is expressly forbidden to use it on long carpets, because the brush, spinning at high speed, will catch it and then the motor and the carpet will be ruined!

The battery is not weak, but not that powerful. As the vacuum can be used in two speeds, for smooth floors and skirting boards, cupboards, dust mites, cobwebs, crumbs, the first speed is sufficient and will go for half an hour, but the motorised head has reduced this somewhat. And if you're cleaning carpets with it, on the high setting you have 18 minutes for the whole operation! A fully discharged battery takes 4 hours to fully charge!

Unfortunately, it is not included in the package, which means that there is no holder for it in the factory, and it is not possible to store and load the vacuum cleaner or its accessories on the wall. So you have to store the charger and the accessory heads yourself...

We will have a special presentation of the Vacuum Cleaner, in an article and YouTube video, so be patient!

Viomi S9

Viomi S9 is the most unique vacuum cleaner among robots! Although it can do the same as its predecessors and fellow athletes, it sucks dust and wipes it up when needed. But what's that big thing behind it? That's what's new! It's a dust canister with a 3L, the three litre dust bag that you empty the contents into from the vacuum cleaner's canister! This way you don't have to constantly mess with checking your robi's tank before the next round. This can be done every month or so by replacing the dust bag in the tank. Cool, isn't it?

Otherwise, the features of the standard robot vacuum cleaner are outstanding, 2.700 Pa suction power, 5.200 mAh battery, laser navigation, 3 level map, 2 cm threshold climbing, etc. It can be used with Mi Home app, with a lot of features that we will not go into now, but if you want to, let us know in the comments.

To compare a vacuum cleaner with a kér is almost heretical, as they are both designed for different things, but they do the same job. To remove dirt from surfaces. They are both excellent for this, but there are some big differences!

A robot vacuum cleaner can only clean the floor, where it can reach and of course the brush sweeps the unwanted material to the right place. It is unable to determine the degree of dirt on the surface, so it is incapable of perfect cleaning, it goes, it sucks and it doesn't care that it has failed, it has left something behind. At most, we have to send it out again with our phone for spot cleaning or area cleaning. If it works, we are happy, if not, we send it again. And who wouldn't be upset about that???? A couple of times like this and you take your old rickety vacuum cleaner and go and clean it...

HAH! But that's what a hand vacuum cleaner is for! Especially if it's battery powered and charged. You just pick it up, walk over to the dirt, press a button and in no time you're picking it up off the floor, shelf, table, top of cupboards, corners, etc. Everything! Plus, the Deerma VC20 Plus is perfect for this, as it makes great use of the ridiculous 800 Pa suction power, especially when using the motorised head. The rough part was when I got on my carpet after the Viomi S9 and then a whole tank full of stuff was still coming out... shocker.

Yes! The Deerma's battery lasts 30 minutes in low mode and 18 minutes in high mode, then you can charge it for 4 hours. You can mill around while half the apartment is full of dust bunnies. Instead, the Viomi S9 can clean up to 320 m² in 180 minutes max. Meanwhile, what are you doing? Anything! You can go out shopping, go on a trip, play with the kids, visit your parents, cook, watch a movie, etc., while the robot works.

So it's a difficult question, for a small apartment the Deerma hand vacuum is just fine, and for a large apartment the Viomi S9, but as we know, you need another one for the other surfaces. But the two together are unbeatable!

The choice is yours!
