In China, it's all about 5G now, and if you don't have a 5G phone in 1-2 months, you're going to be left behind. But as we know, the pioneers are paving the way for better, cheaper solutions. That's what Redmi is doing with its recently announced Redmi K30 5G phone.

Not much is known yet about the Redmi K30, but some information has been leaked by Lu Weibing, the current president of Redmi and Xiaomi, on Weibo.

The first and most important component is the processor, which was unveiled today alongside the SD865. The Snapdragon 765G is Qualcomm's latest generation 5G mobile platform, with an integrated X52 modem that supports SA/NSA 5G dual-mode and speeds of up to 3.7 Gbps. At the same time, it achieves 5 TOPS AI computing performance using the fifth-generation Qualcomm AIE artificial intelligence engine.

You'll be able to recharge the 4,500 mAh battery within an hour with the 30 W fast charge. According to Weibing, it is not a conventional charging, it uses a new charging architecture that uses the energy for charging with 97% efficiency.

With a 6.67″ diagonal, notchless AMOLED display, the K30 comes with a brand new screen technology, with a 4.38mm thick bezel. For those who follow us In our Facebook group, the double selfie camera cut out of the screen is nothing new.

The Redmi K30 uses the same 64 MP Samsung ISOCELL camera module as the Redmi Note 8 Pro. Unfortunately, there is no news on the rest yet. There is a somewhat strange explanation for the design circle around the camera: the collision of matte and high-gloss materials provides a visual experience of three-dimensional space. It's like a bright moon in a dream.

And finally, an interesting fact, which is under the volume buttons. What we see there is not a normal power button, maybe not even an AMOLED, but an LCD screen and not the fingerprint reader underneath. We can't see it on the back either, so we can infer that it's the button. As soon as we know more, we'll come with the details!
