Rumours, pictures and info about the Redmi 8(A) are flying around, but almost nothing has been revealed about the Redmi Note 8/Pro phones and this morning it was officially announced!

Redmi's next series will follow the K series camera layout, i.e. centered. The Redmi Note 8 already gets the triple camera layout, with a 48MP main camera module, telephoto lens and depth sensor.

In contrast, the Redmi Note 8 Pro now has 4 cameras, with the main camera housing Samsung's already announced 64MP ISOCELL module. In addition, a telephoto lens and wide-angle come in line, with the auxiliary camera, which is responsible for depth sensing, placed to the side under the flash.

One step in the phone's manufacturing process has already revealed the quad layout and the use of a 64MP sensor. We just didn't know which Redmi phone it would be in until now.

The two phones will be launched in China later this month, on 29 August to be precise. In 8 days, on Thursday, all will be revealed about the two phones.

As you can see in the picture above, the camera unit does not bulge out as much as in the last series. This could mean two things. Either the battery capacity will be increased to make the housing thicker, or the thickness of the new modules will be reduced. We would prefer the first, especially if it turns out that these will also have a 5,000 mAh battery.

And the launch doesn't end there, the Redmi TV range will be unveiled on the same day. So far only the 70″ size has been announced, but rumours suggest a smaller 40″ version is coming. Of course, they won't be launching with a base model, but with a straight 4K UHD resolution.

See you next week!
