Yesterday's Mix 3 launch put all the important news in the shadows, but there is one piece of good news, in the MIUI landscape. A schedule has been posted on the Chinese forum for an update to the MIUI Android base. The roadmap is for 2018, by the end of the year the devices listed will have received it if they haven't already, and are expected to be upgraded to the Android base in their lineup.

Below is a list of phones that are still running today and supported by CHINA MIUI. NOT GLOBAL! So the Chinese ROMs will get the Android update first, then the Global, but you'll know about that too!

The Xiaomi Mi MIX 2S, Xiaomi Mi 8 and Xiaomi Mi 8 EE have already received the Android 9 Pie update and the rest of the Mi 8 series will also receive Android 9 Pie. However, phones like the Xiaomi Redmi 5, Redmi 5A, Redmi 5 Plus, Xiaomi Mi 5X and others are only getting Android Oreo base for now.

Devices not on the list will no longer receive an Android update this year. They will stay where they are.
