Android 12 based MIUI 13

Yesterday, the global version of the Redmi Note 10 received an Android 12-based MIUI 13 update. The update, which is already available in India, is called V13.0.0.6.SKGINXM. It's 2.6 GB in size, promises better system performance, security and stability, and also comes with MIUI 13 updates such as new backgrounds.

As usual, the release of the update is scheduled, and only beta testers have received it yet. It will be released to the general public as soon as it is declared bug-free.

MIUI 13 doesn't bring any huge changes, the main changes in the European version are under the hood. Atomized memory provides better RAM usage optimization, while liquid storage makes internal storage usage more efficient.

It dynamically manages system resources so that the processor can focus on the important tasks, guaranteeing smoothness.

Smart Balance brings an innovation in energy use, with the possibility to choose between energy saving and performance. This can add up to 10% of uptime, which can make a big difference in some cases.

In addition, the widgets have also been updated, although fewer new features have been brought to the European ruin compared to the Chinese version, as we have become accustomed to in the past.

The phone comes with an 8-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 678 SoC, 4 or 6 GB of RAM, 64 or 128 GB of internal storage. It has a 6.43-inch 1080P AMOLED display, 48, 8, 2 and 2 megapixel cameras and 2K video recording. It has a USB-C port and supports 33W fast charging with its 5000 mAh battery.

It was the first Android major version update, so expect to get another one, Android 13. There has only been one version change of MIUI, so it's worth waiting for updates in the future, but after Android 13 it's unlikely that the device will remain supported, except for security updates, which the manufacturer may provide for quite some time. And after that, there are still some security updates available. custom ruins, which are described in more detail in this article.
