Xiaomi is already famous for its about patents, which now runs into thousands. Among these, a patent for "flexible battery, battery and electronic devices" was recently granted to Xiaomi Mobile Software Co.
A flexible or flexible battery would be a big step forward not only for phones but also for portable devices. In the case of bendable or "shutter" phones, the battery could be located in the entire casing, which would bend with the screen. This would eliminate the need for 2 separate battery packs. Or, if a flexible battery could be built into the strap of a smartwatch, the watch case could be ultra-thin, or there could be more space for existing and new components.
