The Xiaomi youtube channel always has something of interest, in the form of a spectacular or informative video. Today, a very interesting Short has been uploaded, debunking an old unfounded myth. And that is that you shouldn't make a phone call in a storm in open spaces, because it could ruin your phone.

Xiaomi has clearly ruled out the possibility that thunderstorms, lightning and other electrical disturbances could interfere with the phones' operation. For the experiment, a Tesla tower was rigged up and the phone was placed on top of it while it was in operation. As you can see in the picture above, tiny bolts of lightning are shooting out of the corners of the phone, but the phone is fine.

The same applies if a call is made to the subject. The phone rings and if you look closely, even the reception is at maximum. So even a phone call is not affected by such a large electrical condition.

The subject is also a Xiaomi 12S phone which successfully survived the shock.Xiaomi debunked the myth and said "This proves that thunderstorms do not affect the use of smartphones."
