The German Red Cross, the Dutch National Disaster Fund Giro 777 and the Belgian Red Cross will receive a donation of €1 million from the Xiaomi Foundation to support flood victims in Germany, the Netherlands and Belgium.
In Germany alone, according to the German Red Cross, more than 2,500 volunteers are working around the clock to help people on the ground and provide them with basic needs.
"We are shocked by the scale of this natural disaster. We are very close to the affected regions in Germany, the Netherlands and Belgium. We are doing everything we can to help the people there, because we have been working in these countries for a long time and we are really in touch with the local people.
