Redmi Note 9S gets the first major Android version update

The Redmi Note 9S was released last spring, with pretty decent hardware.

Android 11 is slowly but surely making its way to the Redmi Note 9S.

The phone, which was released with MIUI 11 + Android 10, will receive Android 11 along with the January security update within days.

Android 11 also brings privacy and convenience features, including one-time permissions for apps, system-wide support for chat heads, and media control in the notification centre.
