MIUI 14 further enhances end-side privacy capabilities. All computing is done locally, with zero data going to the cloud. More than 30 system scenarios have been introduced. Image and text extraction are all local computation, fast extraction, accurate recognition. Real-time bilingual subtitles for video conferencing, recording and translation are more confidential.

A richer, personalised visual experience, including large and varied icons and pet decorations. Among them, all 4 sizes of changeable large icons are supported, making the desktop more interesting. And the flower and pet decorations are interactive, cute widgets that bring the table to life.

MIUI Connect, the main connectivity hub that covers a huge range of devices. According to Xiaomi, the new high-speed connectivity bus has this time increased the speed of earpiece discovery by 50%, TV connection speed by 12%, and streaming video transfer speed by 77%.

Jin Fan said that "human-centric, connecting people and everything" is the concept behind MIUI Connect. Being human-centric means listening to human perception and adapting to user intuition. In MIUI 14 Xiaomi Miaoxiang Center, they've added earpiece transfer, which supports one-tap source switching, quick settings, control between devices, etc.

The new version of Xiaomi Home makes using a smart home easier and hassle-free.

MIUI 14 offers new family features including family accounts, shared cloud space and shared photo albums.

Family account: up to 9 people can start a family and share services with their loved ones
Shared cloud space: gold and above members can share cloud space with independent data
Shared photo album: a collection of family memories that can be set up as a family screensaver

MIUI 14 has also created a thoughtful design for children and seniors at home. It supports agreements with children on the duration of use, which can be controlled through screen time management. It can also check the health data of elderly people in real time and actively notify them of abnormal heart rate and blood oxygen levels.

Xiaomi has stated that because the underlying architecture of the tablet/foldable screen models is very different from traditional models. In order to provide a relatively better experience for users, Xiaomi MIX Fold 2, MIX FOLD and Xiaomi Mi Pad 5 A Pro 12.4, Xiaomi Pad 5 Pro 5G, Xiaomi Pad 5 Pro and Xiaomi Pad 5 will be adapted to MIU14 + Android 13 and will be released after the adaptation is completed.
