DXOMark is one of the most talked about sites in terms of photographic capabilities, and it's also important for Xiaomi, because for a very small slice of it, they may have been the ones who started to take the Xiaomi name seriously outside of China.

Back in 2017, they tested the Mi Note 3, which scored 90 points, putting it at number 8 in the top list, which was a very good ranking considering so many people didn't know the brand yet, and by comparison, the Mi 6 and Redmi Note 4 were their latest top and mid-range devices at the time.

It's been over 3 years since then and Xiaomi is now a regular podium finisher, currently in first place with the Mi 11 Ultra and camera contender.

However, DXOMark is no longer just testing camera and video, but also audio and display capabilities, and has made an announcement that they will be testing battery life from 10 May.

Besides Xiaomi and Redmi, the other manufacturers can really pull their pants up, as their mid-range devices are almost unbeatable in terms of battery life. I'll be curious to see the rankings and hope that the company doesn't just put the top-end devices on the list.
