A Xiaomi nem hagyott túl sok időt a Redmi 7A európai piacon való elterjedésének, hiszem ma már be is mutatkozott az utód, mely minden szempontból hatalmas ugrás a korábbi “A” változatokhoz képest.
A Redmi “A” utótagú belépő szintű modelljei az évek során hatalmas eladásokat produkáltak mind Ázsiában, mind az európai piacon. Ki ne emlékezne a mai napig használt Redmi 4A-ra, vagy a kompakt mérete miatt sokáig keresett Redmi 5A modellekre. Már akkoriban tudható volt, hogy a kijelzőméret-növekedés a belépő kategóriában is végbemegy, ezt az elmúlt másfél évben tapasztalhatjuk is. 2018 nyár végén érkezett a Redmi 6 / Redmi 6A páros (még 5.45″-es kijelzővel), mely az MTK processzor ellenére is igen jól fogyott a magyar piacon. A Redmi 7A-ra majdnem egy évet, pontosan 10 hónapot kellett várni. Itt a gyártó visszatért a Snapdragon processzor használatra, cseppálló P2i bevonatával pedig a fröccsenő víznek, vagy a szemerkélő esőnek is ellenáll. Ezt Kornél kicsit extrémebb módon demonstrálta is nektek, ahogy Lacitól (KnightMidnight) a fotós képességeire is fény derült.
The Redmi 8A arrives 3 months after its predecessor was launched in Europe.
Today's launch took place as usual in India, where the Redmi 8A itself is manufactured. The market there has once again received a great device that beats the competition there, the Realme C2 and the Samsung M10, on several parameters.
The packaging is reminiscent of the Redmi Note 7, or Redmi 7, with a colour image of the product on the white box and the 5000mAh battery capacity on the display screen, which should give you 3-4 days of battery life.
Display
Not only the battery, but also the size of the display has increased. We almost get the Redmi 7 display size.
The Redmi 8A an 6.22″-with drop notch full display HD+ (720×1520) felbontással IPS panellel.
Dimensions
Physical size 156.48 x 75.41 x 9.4 mm, here the thickness is justified by the large battery, as is the 188 gramsweight. The display is protected by Gorilla Glass 5 and the casing is P2i coated, making it as splash-resistant as its predecessor. But it's not waterproof!
Hardware
A 12nm strip width is used to ensure adequate performance Snapdragon 439 in an eight-core design with A53 cores, clocked at 1.95GHz max. The Adreno 505 GPU ensures smooth running of medium games at 650MHz.
In terms of RAM/ROM, there hasn't been much improvement, currently available in 2+32GB and 3+32GB variants, and no major improvements are expected. The RAM is LPDDR3, the back is eMMC v5.1, which is sufficient for this SoC, obviously not designed for 4K video recording. However, the storage can be expanded up to 512GB with a microSD card, with a dedicated slot for this alongside the dual nano SIM card.
Camera
Although the Redmi Note 8 and Note 8 Pro now have quad cameras, and a 64MP sensor has been added to the range, the Redmi 8A has a single rear camera, which is a 12MP Sony IMX363 sensor with 1.4μm pixel size, f/1.9 aperture, dual phase detection autofocus with 6P lens.
The front camera features an 8MP sensor with F/2.0 aperture and 1.12µm pixel size.
Maximum video size is 1080p 30fps, 60 frames per second even at HD resolution.
The single camera is symmetrically positioned on the matt plastic back of the device, with the vertical bar in the middle at the top and the LED flash below. There is no fingerprint sensor either on the back or front, either a display passcode/PIN or software AI-based face unlock.
Apropó matt hátlap! “Aura Wave Grip” kialakítású, egy speciális bordázott műanyagot használnak, ami nem gyűjti az ujjlenyomatot (hurráá), extra tapadást (nem csúszik) biztosít, és még jól is néz ki.
Az 5000mAh-ás hatalmas akkut immáron USB-C porton tölthetjük, ráadásul 18W-os teljesítménnyel. így nagyjából 2,5 – 3 óra alatt feltölthetjük, majd legközelebb átlag 3 naponta fogjuk a reverzibilis csatlakozót használni.
Viszont a csomagban “csak” 5V 2A-es töltőfejet mellékelnek, de ez sem tragédia, ha éjjel van időnk a töltőn hagyni a telefont.
For now, B20 is not yet an option, at least not for the Indian version, but it will be soon for the Global version.
Wi-Fi is only 2.4G, Bluetooth 4.2.
The 3.5mm jack jack is still there, as is the FM radio in MIUI (with a built-in antenna, so no need to connect an earpiece).
GPS | AGPS | Glonass | BeiBou satellites will be used for navigation, Galileo is not yet an option for the entry level.
The Redmi 8A also doesn't come with a factory case, so get one in advance or ask about the possibility of a separate case in your local stores.
So far, it is available in three colours, these are Midnight Black, Ocean Blue, and Sunset red.

The price of the 2+32GB version (92USD) is 38.990 HUF, the 3+32GB version (99USD) is expected to be around 42.990 HUF in Hungarian stores. This is definitely higher than the price of the Redmi 7A, but it exceeds it in every way, so the pricing is friendly. It is expected to be released in October.
