[Week 24] MIUI 14 global ROM optimizations and fixes

Every week on the Xiaomi Community, they report on the status of the global development of MIUI 14, what has been released and what fixes can be expected in light of known bugs. Since it's in English and well, not everyone is patent in foreign languages, we'll bring it to you every week in English, in plain English.

Our developers are focusing on system optimisation, enhancements and bug fixes this week. There are some important bugs that will be fixed in this week's update. The change log is coming, let's get started!

How to upgrade to MIUI 13/MIUI 14

• Please backup your data and applications before upgrading to MIUI 13 / MIUI 14 global.
• Open the Updater app and check for updates (or download the Recovery ROM).
• If your device bootloader is locked, please unlock it before installing fastboot. See the detailed instructions to unlock the Bootloader and Flash MIUI stable/beta ROM!

System update information

• 14.0.1.0.TLDEUXM (beta) has just been released for Xiaomi 12X.
• 14.0.1.0.SKGMIXM (beta) has just been released for the Redmi Note 10.
• 14.0.3.0.TLIRUXM (beta) and 14.0.3.0.TLIIDXM (beta) have just been released for the Xiaomi 12 Lite.
• 14.0.2.0.TLQEUXM (beta) has just been released for the Xiaomi 12T.
• 14.0.5.0.TKIEUXM (beta) has just been released for the Xiaomi Mi 11 Lite 5G.
• 14.0.5.0.TLBMIXM (staged release) is now available on Xiaomi 12 Pro.
• 14.0.2.0.TLCMIXM (phased release) and 14.0.5.0.TLCEUXM (phased release) are being introduced for Xiaomi 12.
• 14.0.3.0.TLIMIXM (phased release) is now being introduced for the Xiaomi 12 Lite.
• 14.0.2.0.TKTMIXM (phased release) is now rolling out for Redmi Note 11 Pro+ 5G.
• 14.0.2.0.TKOMIXM (phased release) and 14.0.4.0.TKOEUXM (phased release) are now being introduced on the Xiaomi 11 Lite 5G NE.
• The 14.0.3.0.TKWMIXM (staged release) is now being rolled out for the Xiaomi 11T.
• 14.0.7.0.TLBEUXM (completed) is now available for download for Xiaomi 12 Pro.
• The 14.0.5.0.TLIEUXM (completed) is now available for download for Xiaomi 12 Lite.
• Xiaomi 11T Pro version 14.0.3.0(TKDEUXM) has been suspended due to a system error.
• Redmi 10 version 13.0.5.0 (SKUEUXM) has been suspended due to a system error.

Known problems

• Unable to start the system (Mexico) (Redmi 10)
• The device freezes randomly (Xiaomi 11T Pro)
• P-sensor not working (Xiaomi 11T Pro)
• Screen won't turn on after listening to WhatsApp voice calls (Xiaomi 11T Pro)
• Apps FC / no response (Redmi Note 12 5G)
• Can't register for 5G (Redmi Note 12 Pro 5G, Redmi Note 12 Pro+ 5G)

Issues to be fixed in the next update

• Fix - Storage is not enough to download the update (Xiaomi 11i, Redmi Note 12 5G)
• Fix - System lag/freeze during gameplay (Xiaomi 12)
• Repair - Apps FC / no response (Redmi Note 12 5G)
• Fix - Unable to select browser to open third-party app link (Xiaomi 12X)
• Fix - Fingerprint cannot unlock (Redmi Note 12 Pro+ 5G)
• Fix - Unable to preview themes (Redmi Note 9)
• Fix - P-sensor not working (Xiaomi 12, Redmi Note 12 Pro 5G, Redmi Note 12 Pro+ 5G)
• Fix - Device freezes/shuts down randomly (Redmi 9)
• Fix - Accidental restart (Redmi 9)
• Fix - Unable to connect to camera (Redmi Note 10)
• Fix - Front camera not working (Redmi Note 10)
• Fix - MiMediaEditor error (Xiaomi 11T)
• Fix - NFC not working (Xiaomi 11 Lite 5G NE)

Week 24 - MIUI 14 global full change log

• Stable MIUI on Android 13*
• Your device will be updated to the new version of Android. Remember to back up all important items before updating. The update process may take longer than usual. You can expect overheating and other performance issues after the update - it may take a while for your device to adapt to the new version. Note that some third-party apps are not yet compatible with Android 13 and you may not be able to use them. Thank you for your continued support.*
• Android security patch updated for November/December 2022/January 2023. Enhanced system security.

[More features and improvements]

• New: Apps can be opened as floating windows directly from the sidebar
• Optimised: nodes in the mind map are now more convenient and intuitive
• Optimised: support for improved utilities for phone, clock and weather
• Searching in Settings is now more advanced. With search history and hit categories, everything now looks much sharper.*
