It looks like Xiaomi is not idle and will soon launch the next Redmi series, starting with the lowest-end device as usual, the Redmi 6A. The next low-end Redmi device will come in a variety of different variants. The M1804C3CC, M1804C3CE and M1804CDE phones only have the specs so far, but you can see what they will look like on the TENAA site.
The smallest sibling comes in 2/16 and 3/32 sizes, with a 12MP rear and 5MP front camera and yes, without a fingerprint reader. There will be another edition of this, available with 2/16, 3/32 and 4/64 RAM/ROM pairs, but with a 13MP rear camera.
The larger version of the Xiaomi Redmi 6A will now have a dual rear camera, but it will be horizontally rather than vertically mounted. The main camera will be 12MP, unfortunately no details about the other one. The screen will have an 18:9 aspect ratio, HD+ resolution (720 x 1440), 147.46 x 71.49 x 8.3 mm and weighs 145 grams. Powered by a 2.0 GHz octa-core processor and a 3000 mAh battery, With MIUI 10 based on Android 8.1 Oreo. RAM/ROM pairs: 2/16, 3/32, 4/64GB
Apparently, the photo that surfaced over the weekend of the Xiaomi Redmi 6 was only real. It seemed unlikely at the time that the Redmi series would follow fashion so drastically. We were wrong...
Today, unfortunately, this has been confirmed, as the phone has been inevitably listed on the TENAA authority's site.
According to the TENAA, the new Xiaomi phone, model number M1805D1SE, measures 149.33 x 71.68 x 75 mm and weighs 178 grams. The TENAA images clearly show that the phone will come with a metal casing and is expected to be available in several colors such as black, gold, rose gold, white, blue, red, pink, grey and silver.
The diagonal of the phone's screen is 5.84 inches, with a FHD+ resolution of 2280 x 1080 pixels and a 19:9 aspect ratio, which is even longer than before. The device gets a 3,900 mAh battery, which is promising.
The rumoured Redmi 6 will be available in RAM variants such as 2 GB, 3 GB and 4 GB, as well as 16 GB, 32 GB and 64 GB of storage. For more storage, it can be expanded with a microSD card, hopefully following the example of the Redmi S2.
The device comes with MIUI 10 based on Android 8.1 Oreo. The primary sensor in the rear dual camera is 12 megapixels, the other one is unfortunately not available, but will probably be 5 megapixels. For taking selfies, it will be equipped with a 5-megapixel front camera.
