Samsung currently leads the Indian smartphone market with a 22.8 percent market share, with Xiaomi in second place with 22.3 percent. Xiaomi looks set to overtake Samsung for the number one position in the country in the coming months. According to the latest report, Xiaomi has sold over 4 million smartphones in India in 30 days. If that's not enough, Xiaomi is now gearing up to unveil a selfie phone in the country.

The above invitation, which includes a hashtag #YourBestSelf, does not reveal the name of the smartphone that Xiaomi will launch on November 2 in New Delhi, India. However, it seems that the new smartphone, which will be unveiled on November 2, will have a front-facing camera with LED flash for taking excellent selfies in low-light conditions.

Xiaomi launched in India in 2017 with the launch of the Redmi Note 4 and Redmi 4 smartphones. It later released other phones such as the Mi Max 2, Mi A1 Android One and the flagship Mi MIX 2. It looks like the company will set a significant sales record by the end of the year with the new selfie king phone to be unveiled.

In China, Xiaomi is likely to unveil the Redmi 5 Plus full-screen phone soon before November 11 and the Redmi Note 5 smartphone is expected to come in December. The Chinese manufacturer is unlikely to unveil these phones on November 2, as the new Redmi and Redmi Note series phones are always unveiled in China before being introduced in India.

The OPPO and Vivo smartphone brands are aggressively selling selfie-focused smartphones in India, and smartphones from these brands are readily available in offline stores. Xiaomi has recently started selling its phones in offline stores in India and with the upcoming selfie smartphone, it seems that the company is poised to beat OPPO and Vivo.
