Autumn 2018 has already begun, but no concrete information about the much-anticipated Xiaomi launch has been leaked. Until a week ago, when an unmistakable poster with the number "3" was released. Since then, more photos, the possibility of using a dedicated AI button and the codename " LEX" have been revealed. We are expecting a lot from the Mi MIX 3, as the Mi MIX 2s, which was launched in the spring, although a great device, is no longer as sensational as the very first MIX.

2018 is the year of the notch. We can hardly think of 1-2 manufacturers who haven't tried the iPhone X's sensor island solution, which for the majority makes no sense. Xiaomi has used it to good effect with the Mi 8 series, but the solution that is also appearing in the Redmi series is no longer so practical, but rather an expectation in the Asian market.

Fortunately, based on the spy photos so far, we don't have to fear this divisive design element in the third generation MIX, but rather we'll get more for our money.
We've already seen this year's Redmi trend, and the manufacturer's Indian sub-brand Poco has launched. The Poco F1 has become very popular in our country, which is understandable, as we can't even find a comparable hardware rival at this price.

But now let's remember the Mi Note series!

Xiaomi's premium-quality Mi Note series with a larger display has never been popular in its home country, and the manufacturer hasn't even pushed the development for the past 2 years. This has been most evident with the third generation. While the Mi Note 2 used Samsung's EDGE display solution with a then top-of-the-line processor, the 2017 Mi Note 3 was just a Mi 6 with weaker hardware and a larger display.

I have to be honest, I let the series go in the summer, I didn't trust it to continue. As autumn set in, I didn't see any reason for it anymore, as this year's Mi 8 already has a significantly larger display than last year's Mi Note 3. There's also the Mi Max 3, for those who really need a big display and will settle for a mid-range SoC. But I could also mention the Mi 6X, which gets the Mi Note 3's processor (Snapdragon 660) with a bigger display (6.99″), though there's no B20 here either.

Today's news that there might be a Mi Note 4 after all.
The poster says " my name is Mi Note 4, not LEX"

So what we have so far Mi MIX 3 specifications we thought would debut in the Mi Note 4. And that's the dedicated AI button. And based on the colour scheme of the poster below (an aurora photo), we can guess that after the Mi 8 Lite and Mi 8 Pro, the Mi Note 4 might also get a special back panel paint job that will be colour-transparent thanks to microcrystals.

Xiaomi Mi Mix 3

What will the Mi Mix 3 do?

The poster shows the Mi MIX 3 in Nanjing, Jiangsu province. The Mi MIX 3 has a slide mechanism back, Snapdragon 845 processor and bezel-less display. Will the Mi MIX 3, and the Mi Note 4, also get a dedicated AI button for its own assistant? Will there really be a Mi Note 4?

All will be revealed on 15 October.
